In the process on re-installing the frame on my '61. I've heard this can be a difficult process. Any suggestions on an installation/adjustment sequence would be greatly appreciated. Also, the stamped metal strap retainers on the rear bow - does the curved edge go up or down?. And finally (I hope) the rear bow weatherstrip filler extensions - there is a flange with a mounting hole on the end that appears to attach to the upright portion of the frame behind the window with the lowest window weatherstrip mounting screw. Does the flange on the filler go between the window weatherstrip and the frame or on the backside of the frame? Thanks for the help.

I can only comment on the first part of your question because I have not finished my 56 top installation. I have the Al Knoch video. They suggest just laying the extended frame onto the glass and then bolt to the body brackets. The widow frame weatherstrip should be installed on the top frame. This makes sense. I spent a lot of time trying to adjust one side at a time after initially bolting the frame to the body. After looking quickly at the video after I first got it I did not pick up this tip until looking at it again. There are articles on the NCRS disc from earlier articles in the Restorer mag about top installation but I suggest you get Knoch's video. I'm still trying to figure things out as my 56 had no Convertible top or frame when I purchased it.
