I have the 68-69 TM&JG third edition and I have 68 T-Top sitting in my garage, and even with both of these, I can't find the VIN Tag. Talk about feeling stupid. Where is it? Does it say in the book and am I missing it?
Thanks

Rich, on my 70, the VIN tag is a narrow steel tag painted (or plated?) black and riveted to the left bird cage pillar post with special star shaped rivets. This VIN tag is therefore on the inside of the car, but easily visible to law enforcement (and everyone else of course, ) through the windshield. I believe that the soft interior pillar post molding is "notched out" to reveal the VIN tag.
I am not sure when the VIN tags started. If your 68 has one, I would expect it to be in the same position.
