Got the frame on my '61 back on the car. I noticed, however, that the side front frame piece (above the window) is bent on both passenger and driver side. The bend starts about 2 inches ahead of pivot where the welded portion on the backside ends. The front of the piece is bent approx. 20 degrees down. Is this normal? I do not see any signs of the metal being distorted due to the bend (as if it was intended to be that way - but it is making it impossible to fit to the window properly. If it is supposed to be bent then I'm doing something wrong in adjustments. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Another C1 Convertible Frame Question
NO! some one in the past had the Articulor arm adjusted wrong, That is the arm over the window down to the body. You need to remove and strighten out the plate. You may notice on some Corvettes the soft top fram over the top area of the windows, may sag or not level and flat with the door window (top area). Reason is that most people don't under stand how or what the Articulor arm does or how to adjust it. Like the main top assy that mounts to the body it's egg shape as is the Articulor arm mount. You move the mount up or down so as you tighten the header to the windshield (IT lifts )the area causing the plates to be level or flat. You can e-mail me if you don't understand what I mean.- Top
