Early C3 - Correct white for bezel lettering etc

Looking at the white lettering on things like the "LIGHTS" bezel or center guage bezel seatbelt button etc... These are the recessed lettering w/ white applied.

Mine all look like they are an off-white or ivory or almost an almond-white. Now is that 'correct' or is that due to aging? E.g. were they originally a brighter starker 'white-white' so to speak?

All 7 of my Corvettes had white lettering, however, the cars with average mileage on them looked as though they might have turned slightly off white due to age. The low mileage car still appears white.

They were originally just plain old white. Not off-white and not brilliant white. Just white.

Low mileage as in low sunlight exposure/usage right?
