Folks,
More of a lurker, but some of you may remember that I own "box end Z06's - 1963/2001". Anywho, recently turned "LADY" (1963) over to Tony's Corvette in Gaithersburg, MD. Well, Tony called this AM and said we need to talk. Seems like after around 100 hours or so, LADY is TORE ASUNDER!
Talk about having your heart drop to the floor when you walk around the corner and see the car you were recently driving NOT THERE! The body is hanging in the air, the frame is sitting there on a jig, and the rest of the car is in bins!
They have painstakingly "authenticated" each and every nut, bolt, screw, etc. that they can and labeled accordingly and put in baggies. Everything is categorized as to whether they need to be cadmium plated, phosphate plated, etc. etc.
