    427ci carbs (3x2)

How close are the carb dates supposed to be to the build date of the car? Could dec. 68 date be right for a mar.69 build date? It's a 400hp 1969 coupe with air.

    Tom,

Six months is the NCRS rule.

I believe that NCRS rules state that they have to be within six months but within 3 months is best, so your carbs should work. I've seen 3x2 set-ups that have weeks between the center carb and the end carbs. For early 1969 cars, I would say that they are usually within six weeks of the build date. My Mid Oct 1969 435 carbs are 992's or the second week of Sept. 1969 or about 4 weeks. I hope this helps.

        I think that a 12 '68 date would be perfectly acceptable for a 3 '69 car
