    '75 coupe weatherstrip

I've been installing new weatherstrip. I'm having trouble with the window glass not staying in the weatherstrip channel both on the front edge and the top edge where it meets the t-top weatherstrip.

    Any suggestions?

James, it's pretty tough to know what your problem is without being there.

The first thing I would suggest is to determine if the problem results because the window has a lot of freedom of movement (it's sloppy), or because in it's present adjustment, it just naturally seeks a position away from the weatherstrip.

If the window has excessive movement, there are some small fuzzy pads at the top of the door to restrict the movement of the window if it is otherwise correctly adjusted. Probably the best thing to do, however, is to start from scratch and go through the complete window adjustment procedures given in the AIM and the factory service manual. Attempting to use only the pads at the top of the door to compensate for poor glass adjustment will ultimately lead to vertical scratches on your glass.
