I'm new here. I'm actively looking for a car, but don't have the knowledge (buyers glassied eye effect or Physician don't treat thyself)and time (many cars are a long way from home). I tried, once, to go see a car I purchased some time ago, but once I traveled the distance it was hard to not buy the car. So, now I've hired "Automobile Inpections LLC" (www.automobileinspections.com) to do a pre-inpsection on the car.
I don't know if they are any good or not. I have not read of anyone on this board recommending or not recommending the hiring of a pre-inpection company. I would much rather have hired an NCRS judge, but I could find no list of judges or even a list of members willing to look at a car in Williamsburg, VA (location of the car).
Anyone have an opinion of this company? Or, does someone have a company or person they would recommend? Heck, if I were even to buy from one of the big dealers (NOT), I'd still want a pre-inpsection by someone that is not as biased as me (shiny paint syndrome can be hard to overcome).
Thanks,
Lenn
