C-1 Differential I.D.

I've aquired two differentials. I'm trying to I.D. one of them. The casting number 3726899 is pretty clear. The large "GM" is clear next to it. A small (in size) capital "T" is next to the GM with again a small (in size) number "6" under it. Can anyone help me identify this thing? Thank you for any assistance.

First of all, I think that the casting number is 3725899; a "5" and a "6" are often confused for casting numbers. From the information you've provided all that I can tell you is that it's a differential case for a 1957-62 Corvette with non-posi or a 1957-64 passenger car with non-posi. It was cast at the Tonawanda, NY GM foundry.

I'd call it as a passenger car diff - all Corvette axles were built at Detroit Gear & Axle, and their center section castings all came from Saginaw. The Tonawanda-cast center sections were used at Chevrolet-Buffalo, and they only made passenger car and truck axles.
