The newly purchased bonding strips that are riveted to the lower windshield frame are different. The difference is that where they meet in the center there is a gap approx 1/4". The original bonding strips butted up to each other. The sealer that I used under the bonding strip was the 3M fast and firm to seal the gap between the metal and fiberglass. Now, with this gap in the center I am left with a uncertain decision. Should this be left and filled with bonding adhesive when I bond the firewall? The other options would be to fill with the 3M adhesive or Fiberglass the two strips together? Any suggestion?
