    67 front spring installation

I just installed the front springs on my 67 and noticed that one is not quite back in its original position as far as advancement into the aligning groove in the frame. At the end of the groove there is a quarter inch hole and I can see the end of the spring when loooking thru the hole from above. On the other side the spring ends about 1/2 inch from the hole which I believe was the original position. Will This be a problem as far as making the car sit unevenly? Should I redo the one spring and rotate it back a few degrees?

    Re: 67 front spring installation

    Tom,
You may want to refer to your '67 AIM. In the '65 AIM (pg E138), there is a dimension given for the End Of Coil Stop. For the '65, that dimension is .38 +/- .12 inches. When I look down through the hole, I can see front spring on both sides.

I doubt that it will affect ride height, but I'll let someone else address that issue.

    Good luck,
    Gene
