My question is about the original seat color for a '67 conv. with saddle interior. Mine are "light" saddle, not "dark" saddle (subjective, I know).
In other words, the seats very closely match the carpeting hue (itself original). When considering seat cover replacement, I had one supplier say that "dark" saddle was original.
Can anyone offer opinions about the correct seat color for '67 saddle seats?
Do they closely match the carpeting? Or are they significantly darker than the carpeting? Or...?
By the way, my point is that to fix the lateral slit on both seats (from wear), it seems the only remedy is replacement of the seat covers...which probably would entail replacing the seat backs as well...which would probably mean replacemnt of the carpeting, too, if the "dark" hue saddle seat is the only color available. Well, you know how things compound in a big hurry.
Thanks.
Tom
