I was bolted through the hole in the fiberglass panel. It just didnt have the extra brace as the later ones.

i have an early 66, built sept 65, it has a fiberglass tab on the nose(center top side), the grill has a flange(same location), there are no bolts connecting them, i always assumed that the grill was a replacement grill and the holes didn't line up due to a poor repair,

        Wayne,

I assume that a similar j nut and screw as was found on the bottom tab was used at the top. Is this correct?

        Thanks,
        Dave Kitch
