In addition to "short throw" adjustment on manual trans shifters, discussed in recent posts, dont't forget the "reduced travel" (quick clutch) adjustment, which complements the short throw shifts, and the "fast response" steering ratio adjustment (for non-power steering cars). As well, the "manual = w/wrench" poor-boy telescopic steering column adjustment (also discussed earlier). These customizing features are discussed in owner's manuals, chassis and shop manuals, for '63 and up Corvettes, but many recent owners don't realize these adjustments can be made.
