65 Aux Hardtop Restore

I am beginning the restoration of a really barebones, ding-ed up top. It is basically just a core, nor moldings or liners etc. Can anyone recommend a book that covers this type of restore? Am I better off just buying a fully restored top? Any advice appreciated

Tim: if you want a Duntov-quality hardtop for a C-2 that is persuing the Duntov award, then by all means do as jack suggests and contact The good folks at Glassworks( Ted K and his son). If your intent is just to have a hardtop for a driver, i'd visit Carlisle or the Driveline or Bloomington for a complete good used hartop as its cost will probably be equal to or less than the cost of parts to make your current hardtop core complete . mike

Hi Tim. The Assembly Manual will show you what you are in for. If your top was
mostly complete, it might be worth doing yourself. I did mine and it turned out great. Since you need sooo much for it, you would be better off buying one complete. The HardTopShop site has pricing for most of the items you would need. Also, there have been a few lately on that famous auction site. Pat G.
