Does anyone know of a way to track down previous owners of a car without going through the registry(like to know before I retire!!!!, not that the registry is slow or anything...) Is there a site on the web that can do this without spending a bunch of cash for it?
Write or visit the Dept. of Transportation of the state in which the car is titled. Request a title search. Various states charge different amounts for thiks information. Some refuse on grounds of privacy.
