    Metal Stripping

    I need to remove the metal stripping around the windows on a 1963E corvette. I was wondering if there is a special tool or if you all can give me sggestions on the best way to remove the stripping.

      The metal trim is held in place with a number of clips. There is a special tool which will release the clips. I recently purchased one at an auto body supply store. As these are only used on older cars they did not have the tool in stock but were able to order it for me. It was about $10.00

          the tool is a flat sheet metal hook or somtimes double hook I've seen them at advanced auto parts and at carquest in the HELP line of tools and parts where I found some plug wire looms for the 67s valve covers just like the old ones.

          I,ve also seen a guy clamp a small allen wrench in a small vice grip and unhook them!
