Absolutely nothing, if you live in the U.K., Australia, Japan.....etc. and have spent a bundle on a right-hand-drive conversion (which is the law in Australia for cars less than XX years old)

Re: someone posted somewhere that it costs

I had several Viper and Prowler customers in Australia, and the (required) conversions on those cars were over $30K (U.S.)

          Re: That's why it's almost 100% sure

Contrary to the marketing hype here in the U.S., Foster's is considered by Aussies to be the "Rolling Rock" of Aussie beer

Doc, you have passed the point of being a "dirty old man" and have progressed to a "sexy elder"

                  Chuckles is indeed correct

and I apologise for the misuse of the word beer. I seem to have succumbed to their advertising slogan "Foster's, it's Australian for beeeyaaa."

My daily re-reading of the Rheinheitsgebot of 1516 has confirmed that neither Foster's or Rolling Rock can legally be called beer. There again, there's another beer, errr, beverage made in Texas that wouldn't qualify either.

On a final note, next time you're swilling a tinny of Foster's, have a good look at the side of the can. It's brewed here in Canada. Bwahahahahahahaha!

One other light note and lets keep it light with no personel insults, How would the owner form down under that brought this 55 back to the USA score at a NCRS meet and the vett was %100 original but for the change over.

That should be a no brainer. The areas of the car that have been altered since leaving the St. Louis factory would be penalized in the judging arena.

Re: On a lighter note PLEASE

Actually, I am not sure that that is correct. Isn't the standard "as delivered with normal dealer prep"? If the car was delivered in Austraila to begin with then this would be the as delivered by dealer condition. I would guess that you have the original paperwork to babk up this position if you ever showed up for judging.

                        Regards, John McGraw

                          John:

You may be right. I assumed the Corvette was re-configured from how it left the assembly plant, here. I also thought that any dealer prep did not include any structural deviation from original specs, just repair or detail to get it to factory assembly correctness as delivered from factory.

Or in the case of Doc McCagh, not Foster's but the "BEAST" Come to think of that, it might not be a bad idea at a lot of events. That way there would be no controversy about paint, stamps, tires, etc. But darn, NCRS has a policy against alcohol being furnished on the event grounds. Maybe pass the hat to buy it?????
