    Re: From The Peanut Gallery

    Hi Todd,

I've been playing catch up on the weekends discussions and am I wrong, or is there a little tension in the cyber air here?

You know I was taught at an early age that "it's all in the delivery" Todd.

I find it in poor taste to verbally assault those who give freely of themselves time and time again to assist those (me) in achieving our Corvette goals regardless of the level of excellence we desire.

Agree to disagree, call it good and move on.

Lifes too short to get our shorts in a bundle over perceptions and assersions.

By the way Todd, Associates, Bachelors or Masters?

Chuck (I wish I could write like you) Rice

Re: From The Peanut Gallery of the motorman

my interputation of these posts is, is it fair for members who had their cars judged before the introduction of products like the scope to check things, like the stamp pad, to be able to get away with things you can not get away with now to get a top award. i know nothing about judging and i could be all wet,but if the methods have improved all the previous awards should be subject to rejudging every so often.

Re: From The Peanut Gallery of the motorman

Clem: some of my Duntov cars done 15-20 years ago wouldn't do so today, not because magnification wasn't used then and is now. Judges expertise main reason. Anyway, NEVER buy a Corvette that has attained a NCRS award because you assume if ncrs thinks its correct, then its gotta be correct. NCRS isn't and never was in the buisness of CERTIFYING corvettes as i'm sure you know. Problems arise for the ill-informed who believe a Duntov award makes it a correct car. regards, mike

Don't forget that many of us don't see as well as we did 25 or so years ago, and a problem that would be found with the naked eye of a 30 year old might slip by the unassisted eye of a 60 year old (From personal experience)

Clup, I remember that you said at the Williamsburg Convention during the Annual Business Meeting, something like "the graying of the NCRS". Does that include failing eyesight and hearing too?????

Basically, it is like HTML or any markup languaged based on IBM's old GML Script. You need an opening and a closing tag. Bold type needs the [ and ] and a b in the center and the [ and ] with a /b in the center at the end of the text. Writing in the message box Bold text here gives bold on the message.

used the same [ and ] with red in the middle and the same type of closing tag.

Other colors do not seem to work.

Use the Help button at the top to check the FAQ and you will see the list of items you can do.

                            You realize this is dangerous

NOW EVERYONE WILL SHOUT IN BOLD AT EACH OTHER!

Hopefully, they won't use it for that, but simply to mark quoted text from someone else.
