Many years ago, when I was young and foolish, I did something stupid hooking up a new main or ignition wiring harness. Really pinned the ammeter gauge needle. Ever since, the needle is always to one side. Works properly, though. With the ignition off, it sits to one side. While the engine is running, it'll fluctuate through a range I would expect, but always skewed to one side.
Can I just bend or rotate the needle on its axis back to zero? Searching through the catalogs, I no longer see this gauge listed. So replacement is not an option.
