aftermarket knock...off 1964

hello:

I just bought a used set of aftermarket knock-off wheels for my mid-year 1964 corvette and was horrified to find out that they are not 15x6 they are 15x8 and the tires look huge...if you put the smaller tire on can it fit a mid-year and how can you make them fit the wheel wells without MAJOR wheel well modification?????????

Jay: there is NO way you are gonna put 15/8 wheels on a c-2 without MAJOR wheel well modification. If you have a car trailer, put the 15x 8's on it and preserve the 64's wheelwells. mike

Back in the seventies an 8" KO was available that used the same mounting hardware as the 6" wide repros, and I assume the 8" version had same -0.5" offset (including adaptor) as the 8" Rally wheels and YJ8 aluminum wheels, so they could be installed on Sharks.

Like Mike said, the is NO WAY to run this wheel with any reasonably sized tire and clear the fenders on a C2.
