C1 question- is '55 chevy frame same as 'Vette?

I've heard somewhere that the '55 Chevy frame is virtually the same as the C1 Corvette frame. Is this true?

Not even close. Earlier model passenger car front crossmembers and front suspension is nearly identical and somewhat interchangeable with a little tweaking.

A C1 Corvette frame is more akin to a 53-54 passenger car frame than it is to a 55-57 passenger car frame.

The other thing that someone could be refering to is the "X" crossmember.
