I have a very early 62, build date 8/31/61, so my car qualifies for 61 seatbelts. Since the dog bones were installed prior to body painting; what is the correct degree of finish on them? i.e. surface smoothness, gloss, dull, or overspray?
Thanks

Bill,
The brackets were painted to a large degree when the interior was painted. I would think that you would not go wrong by painting them complete. The brackets were Cad plated and the paint tended to flake off to a large degree over time, but no attempt at masking the brackets was made.
