I'm trying to decode my POP and my AIM is in storage. I've looked at the Cars & Parts Corvette ID Numbers book and Paul Herd's POP decoding pamphlet but find inconsistencies between the two. My car is a '72 LT-1 and these are the questions I have: a) There is no "H" or any other character after the VIN in the top line. The books say it should have that for a Holley, but there is no character at all there; b) the second line has the engine ID and transmission info, yet the Cars & Parts book says they should be on the second and third lines respectively (above/below each other), c) on the third line after the axle info "AAW069E" is an "H" then a few spaces and "113" then a few spaces and "13" then the Chevy symbol followed by a "C". Any help on these is appreciated, or a steer to a book that really nails down the 1972 POP. Thanks, Chris
