What's the width of the front horns with out any of the extentions? 68 frame. And what is the size of the number/letter stamps that they used to number match the frame to the vin etc? Driverside rear location. thanks jc

    chester,

Without taking the horns off my 68 they measured approximately 4 1/8" in diameter, 2 1/4" wide (thick) and the bolts that mount the brackets to the frame are 6 1/2" apart center to center. There's about 3" of space in-between, enough room for the vacuum relay valve that's there to be mounted between them.

I don't know the exact size of the characters/numbers used to stamp the frame.

Sorry for the confusion Tom, and the labor to get down and messure them. What's the width from the left one to the right one, between them, not the individual parts themselves. The front frame width is what I really need, before you install the front horns. Sorry jc

            chester,

It's hardly any trouble, just don't have me start taking it all apart! I hope I got this straight, the entire "assembly" (end to end, and mounted) measures 11 inches exactly. With that measurement, you will realize that the horns are mounted on an angle to each other.

Just curious but, what are you doing? Tom #24014
