Sorry, I had been "in-and-out" over the weekend and just almost missed your last "alternator" post. I appreciate the thanks but believe me MY knowledge ain't so great, I usually just know where to look.

Your having the car in pieces and scattered all over explains my confusion. I hate it when I "over-simplify" but was glad I posted enough info for you to find and use the date/number band on the distributor. As you have probably already figured, and according to that, your correct alternator would be the 37 amp "693".

thanks again, what happens is that I do a million things in the shop and write down things that stump me. Then I do some research, then post if neccessary, like now I'm doing the completion of the front suspenion, motor hardware, and then the rear section. It seems that this may be hard to do, but the parts are slowwer on getting here, hence the multiple questions and multiple sections being done. Oh, back to the original question, yes it seems to be a non-TI car, but I will look for the other things that you posted. Thanks jc
