asked this before got no answer so im gonna try again
how far on average does the sound deadner go in the rear wheel wells outside of frame but does it go to the rear near the tailpipes or is it just limited to the wells also how far foward is it

Bob: since no member responded to your question, here goes. Coverage of undercoating on the C-1's was haphazard and depended quit a bit on which assembly line worker applied the sound deadner as well as his mood on the day your vette left the line.
To attempt to give you the limits of where the undercoating should and shouldn't be would be impractical. Suggest you look up fellow ncrs members in your neck of the woods who own vettes with unmolested wheelwells/floorpans. go examine several before deciding what does and doesn't get the undercoat treatment. Better yet, attend the nationals at Windsor this summer and hope there is a 59 Bowtie candidate in attendance. good luck, mike

If I remember correctly the undercoat was applied near the end of the assembly line. So wheel wells only, and toward the rear just to the bottom of the curvature. The judging manuel touches on this briefly and you should as well. Don't sweat the small stuff. Saw your question about the rebound straps, get the rivets pointed forward and you might try a pipe flaring tool to start the crimp then press them down. Takes a little practice and they won't be beautiful but will pass. Nobody will ever attempt to check the length of your strap but get the material correct.
