C2: POA/STV PN# Qestion

I'm putting the AC unit on my '66 BB coupe back to stock config. The car has some other, non-stock, aluminum POA or STV in place (I think this is a POA, rather than an stv. Not sure what make the part is though).

The unit on the car is stamped as follows:
540 005
...and in a separate location:
A105A

What was this unit designed for?

Those numbers have no identification value, whatsover, with respect to any references that I have.
