I am new to the group and not familiar with the term "SPORTSMAN" used in conjunction with a show being put on in my area (Kissimmee Jan04) I could not find it listed in the groups "Lingo/definitions." Does this refer to member cars not being judged but want to show up at the activity??? ....Ed

Re: SPORTSMAN ?
Sportsman is for ANY Corvette. You get reserved parking and a participation ribbon. National Sportsman awards are available if you attend enough meets. I suggest you order the Judging Reference Manual from the Mortimers in "home office" (see back of the Driveline). It will explain all NCRS awards. Don H.- Top

Re: SPORTSMAN ?
Ed,
You can find descriptions of all of the NCRS Awards on the Awards Page at https://www.ncrs.org/awards.html
You can also purchase the Judging Reference Manual along with many other fine books and manuals at the NCRS Online Store https://www.ncrs.org/store/shop.cgi/page=index.html
Thanks for the chance to plug the Online Store.

Re: SPORTSMAN ?
I'm new, but just received my "Corvette Judging Reference Manual" Sixth edition and voila, there on page 38 in Section 10 was all the information needed for the Sportsman Award. But, alas, the web page you sited didn't hav any reference to it or many other awards listed in the judging reference manual. The online store rules!- Top

Re: SPORTSMAN ?
But it SHOULD all be online! It would help new comers better understand all the catagories that are included in NCRS.
I have a original driver I would have never considered trying to have it judged. This summer I met with several NCRS members that told me my car would flight as is.
I thought NCRS was only for those shinny restored trailered cars.
I think a lot of original cars are ruined because it's not clear that an original car with all it's original parts is just as worthy as restored cars to flight. Especially if you drive it to the meets.
