200 views and no one knows, thats hard to believe
I read that a GS was involved in an accident at this years Goodwood, just wanted to know if it was true. If for some strange reason this is a sore subject and is not to be talked about please email me so that I can delete the post.
Thanks- Top

Re: goodwood hillclimb is on "speed channel"
Yes, quite an exciting race, and a GS biffed a GT-40 as I recall, only one of many shunts in this particular race. I forget the details, I think the GS was in the middle of a chain reaction. It will be rerun I'm sure.Bill Clupper #618- Top

Re: Pic of Grand Sport damage
Which Grand Sport is it? I don't recognize it as one of the FIVE that I saw at the Concours d'Elegance in Amelia Island. Or is this one of the Grand Sport replicars?Rick Aleshire

Re: Pic of Grand Sport damage
Rick ... I really hope it is a replicar. The site I found it on is all about Goodwood 2003,but it doesn't go into any specifics. There was a lot of damaged, expensive, iron this year, some quite extensive. Maybe someone will know for sure which GS this is. Glenn- Top

Re: Pic of Grand Sport damage
If you follow the Goodwood coverage every year you will see that this sort of thing is not uncommon. They race hard and occasionally a 250 GTO, or GS ect. will get bent. They are race cars meant to be raced and they will be repaired and back for more. I hope we never see the day when these great cars are relegated to collecting dust in some museum.

Re: Grand Sport accident...?
If you look at the history of "both" of these cars, this ain't there "debut" at this sort of thing. Damage that is!
