A little late Mr. Beast. BUT, you get a free shot this time. I'm in the holiday spirit and proud of it. Beast - whoops, I mean, best to all. DC

        Terry-----

There were 4 supercessive part numbers for the upper SERVICE ball joints used over the 65-82 period and 3 suppercessive SERVICE part numbers for the lowers. ALL of these ball joints are identical in configuration. ALL of the SERVICE lower ball joints are identical to the PRODUCTION ball joints in every way, including the unthreaded extension. The upper ball joints are identical to PRODUCTION except for ONE feature. The 3 mounting holes in the PRODUCTION ball joints were 9/32" (for 1/4" rivets). The 3 mounting holes in the SERVICE ball joints are 11/32" (for 5/16" bolts or rivets).

I have MANY NOS examples (NONE for sale) of every SERVICE ball joint ever used from 1963 through 1982 and I have carefully inspected them for differences from PRODUCTION and differences from each other.

Well I stand (or sit in front of the computer) corrected. I am sorry for the misinformation I posted.
