Does anyone know where I might find the Broadcast sheet in my 1982 Collector Edition? Also, I am looking for the engine stamp that supposed to be near the passenger side head/block at the front. I have used fiber optic scopes and xeon plexible probes, I just can't find it.

Re: C3 Broadcast sheet
John, do you mean you have found the pad but see no stamp...Or...You can't find the pad? If you can find the pad, you shouldn't need all that high tech gear to see the stamp; a good flashlight should be adequate.
To find the pad, put left hand on the front of the passenger side valve cover, and place your right hand on your forehead. Now, close your eyes, go into a clairvoyant trance and move your hand down the front of the valve cover until you feel the head. Continue to move your fingers down the front of the passenger side head (Is your engine clean? ) over all those little bumpy places until you hit a big fat step about 5/8" wide. That step will be the engine stamp pad. Open your eyes...the stamp should be right under your finger tips. Only kidding you, John, but you get the idea.- Top

John:
I believe Chuck is interjecting some humor into dilemma but if you got A/C and A.I.R. (and all 82's do originally) then the stamp pad isn't visible...too much crapola in the way. You'll need a mirror to go along with that flashlight.Tom Russo

Forgot to response to your first question about the manifest...others have found it in a variety of spots to include
1. between speedo and tach
2. in dash wiring harness
3. Under carpet
4. Glued on tank
5. rolled up and stuffed between rear suspension components.Tom Russo

Re: C3 Broadcast sheet
John The best place to find a copy for your 82 is at the National Corvette Museum you will send them some green backs and you will get a copy. They will do the hunting. As for the pad most are very hard to see on a 82 but at the fall Vettefest I judged one you could look at real easy but can't tell you why it had nothing in the way. LyleLyle
