    Interior Help

I need to replace my carpet in my '67 Convertible. Who is the best vendor for this? Also, it seems like people have recommend Romeo Engineering, does anybody have contact information for them?

I used Auto Custom Carpet (ACC) and was happy with color and fit. (Bright Blue)

      Earl,

I did not use their product. I used an ACC carpet kit in my 68 and am happy with it. But, I also have no basis for comparison.

I could not believe the pic of your car posted on the VH board when the body was stripped. If it wasn't for the heater delete option I would have never recognized it as the the car I saw at Crystal Cove. I can't wait to see it when it's done.

        Earl:
I bought the carpet for my '69 from Romeo Engineering. The good news is that the product is beautiful, the fit was perfect, and they manufactured the carpet to my specs i.e. they put the binding on pieces to my order as I wanted it exactly like the originals, they didn't put the dimmer switch pad on which is correct for early '69's, etc. The owner was very knowledgable and answered my questions completely. The bad news is that it took the better part of a year to get the carpet with dozens of phone calls unreturned and as many promises of delivery broken. When I finally did get the carpet he threw in a set of floor mats ( I guess to cover for my aggravation). The quality of the carpet is supurb and I guess it was worth the wait.
        Hope this helps.
        Jeff

I was told by a reputable vendor the other day that the Romeo carpets for midyears may not have the correct loop configuration or color any longer, as ACC has recently quit selling their bulk carpet product to other carpet manufacturers; ACC may be a better bet for color and loop configuration.
