67 frame markings

While cleaning the rear section of the frame on my 67 I found a marking in red on the driver side edge of the rear cross member. I believe it is an upside down hD. Does this make sense? It is an F41 car. It could also be a "something 4" if viewed right side up. Any other thoughts on what this could be, it is difficult to decifer. Thanks , Tom

It is more than likely HD. I have seen HD markings on frame members in the area of the rear end.

I dont remember seeing it in red, but I have seen it in white, and green.
