How important is having the original radio in judging? I've spent a few years collecting the correct radio and have had it rebuilt and installed. I was wondering what amount it adds to the overall score?

Re: original radios
Thanks Larry, I went to the trouble of having the radio repaired and having a new cassette drive installed. It is such a PITA to get the radio in and out I only wanted to do this job once. There are some things I cannot redo in original form, but I was lucky in that the radio was a part I was able to get, however I looked in about ten junkyards and finally wound up buying three different radios till I found one with a semi decent faceplate. The faceplates were silkscreened with white letters and numbers and after twenty five years it's really hard to find one that is still serviceable. I'm trying to get the best score I can, I believe I will be going for a 'Survivor' judging. The car has 38K miles original.- Top
