    73 Anti-Theft Alarm On-Off Switch

What is the correct orientation for the key switch; key goes in flat surface up or the cut surface up?
Does it matter which terminal the orange (power) wire is connected to?
In trying to get my alarm system working again I have found that the switch tests at 0.3 ohms in the closed position and varies from Overload to 100 K ohms on the open position. I am assuming something is wrong with the contacts for the varying ohms in the open position. Does anyone repair these switches? If not whom furnishes a replacement switch I would be willing to find one for me with the correct key code, I also want the correct crimped cover.

My 72 has the switch installed so the key goes in with the flat side up.

I bought a new switch from Corvette Central about 4 years ago, and it matched the original perfectly.

I took the new switch, the lock for my spare tire, and the lock for my glove compartment to a local locksmith, and for $30 he keyed them alike to use the same key.

It doesn't matter which of the 2 wires goes to each terminal, all it does is open or close a circuit so it will work either way.
