re automatic convertible carl rose hey sharon being down here in the land of texas i'm not sure what the market is like up inthe northeast however a few thoughts on a k stingray for k unfortunately sad to say but true nowadays you will not find a numbers car or if you do it will be a basket case needing restoration does your friend have any automotive skills i e not intimidated by working on cars he she will save a lot of money if so personally i would find it difficult to own one of these relics without so because the upkeep is constant he she needs to look at a lot of cars first to decide exactly what they want will they ultimately want a fully restored car because it is sometimes more cost effective to buy a restored car rather than restoring it yourself that is part of the fun the automatic cars are generally priced slightly lower keep in mind that only of these cars were automatics of course they tended to be the more sedate versions that probably haven't seen a drag strip i would imagine in the north rusted frames can be a big problem also if this is a car to keep forever or if it even has that potential do not spend money on a non original car since the restoration costs are the same but the final value is k different make sure your friend knows what he she is getting into after all of the above i may buy another one next year just can't seem to learn take care carl- Top
