Season's greetings to all! I have been looking this one over for a bit now. What do you think transpired to get this hybrid built. Seems to be a complete 67 externally and the opposite(1966)internally. What type of price would make sense given the obvious? As always, many thanks for your opinion.
Why anyone would do that is beyond me. I could see if you had a 67 front clip to put on a 66, but as you point out, this looks like a whole 67 outside, except for the wheels and a 66 interior. Would have cost the same to put a 67 interior in it.
I guess I wouldn't give it a second thought. There a plenty of nice 66's out there, and for a few more bucks than a 66, plenty of nice 67's. Cars that are much closer to being real, not a Frankenstein.

While not recently, I have seen other "mid years" with the 67 side panels, but not a car where they also changed the rear lights. Some people used to take the "split" out of split window coupes...
This car also has the 1967 type master cylinder and lines to the brake pressure switch and the 1966 emerg brake. Would love to see the trim tag on this one.
Very Interesting,

-----There is very little if anything redeeming about this car weather you are an NCRS afficianado or not. Not only are many things incorrect as mentioned but its also very apparent that as many things are just plain done badly. I got used to seeing many cars similar to this while living in south Florida from 1968 thru 1976. Many people back in the day down there wanted their Vette to look as new as possible. Combine that with a lot of driver hi-jinks and theft and you come up with these poorly done fiberglass cars that you just cant figure out...........Bill S
