C1 Dash

Can someone explain the small differences in the dash housings between 1958 and 1962? As always your info is greatly appreciated.

There is a difference in the cigarette lighter depth on a 61-62. Basically I think the 61/62 mounts flush and the 58-60 is recessed.

the temperture gauge changed toward the end of 61 (went from a 200-220 i think)

The late 62 temp gauge has a 240 scale vs 220. The HOUSING, however, is the same.

I stand corrected it was 220-240 but i am almost shure it was late 61. I have two 61"s an early one and a late one i just went into the garage and looked one is 220 and the other is 240 I have had both cars over 30 years and were complete when purchased. maybe we can get a third opinion? another difference is the spedo pointer one is more rounded not shure of year change
