    door panel question

Could anyone tell me exactly what the difference is between coupe and convertible door panels? I have a 64 so I am mostly concerned with that year, although if it is simple to explain, please include all C2 years in your answer.

    Thank you for your help.

    Re: door panel question

The difference is on the upper edges of door panels, particulary in the vicinity of the vent windows. don't think its even remotely possible to interchange coupe and roadster door panels.mike

That's what I was afraid of. Figures, He's selling coupe panels, I need Conv panels. Oh well, I can't catch every good deal that comes along. THANK YOU.

        67 only door panel

Since you asked about all C2s... 1967 models have the door lock knob in a "more handy" position. More towards the center of the door, but not as far forward as the center of the door. Same height as your 1964 model.

Right, 67 has a different layout. But is there a difference between coupe and conv panels, say for that year?

Yes, as stated above. Significant contour diff. along the top.

-----You are all forgetting that mid-year coupes have an upright post at the rear of the door. This makes it necessary to sculpt this particular area differently than the roadster panel which goes all the way to the upper rear edge of the door. This is the easiest way to quickly differentiate between the two at swap-meets and such..........Bill S
