    Speedometer gear

    I hope to get some informations about my problem. I had replaced already twice the green gear in the transmission housing. And after some miles the neck of this gear, which turns the speedometer cable was broken again. I already have replaced the speedometer cable, the cable from cruise control to the speedometer. So I assume that the cables and the cruise control is ok. M ycar is from 82 CrossFireInjection) and has the ID 1G1AY8783C5119829 .

    What can be other reasons for this issue. Who has informations for me, what should be my next steps?

      Thomas, It soundslike you may have a "hangup" either in the Cruise or the Speedo. Get a short piece of cable & see if you can feel any "catch" when turning the Cruise input or the speedo. I'm surprised it didn't break the cable rather than the gear shaft though. Are you sure the gear is the correct one?
