    '63 Exhaust Black Out

Is is it appropiate to use high heat black paint to do the black out process on the exhaust system of a '63?
    Thanks,
    Mike

Go to a hardware store, tell em ya got a woodstove and you need a can or bottle(4 oz will be enough to do a dozen or so exh systems) of STOVE BLACK. It lasts for a year on our woodstove and years on the restored vets. mike

I use black BBQ grill paint in a rattle can. Can get at any store that sells paint in spray cans.

Before you buy the paint and put it on the exhaust make sure this was actually done to these cars. There are people on theis board who question this practice. At least we can laugh about GM paying an assembly line worker to put on a "mitt" and apply this "blackout" to the exhaust system.
