My garage isn't heated, but as a winter project I wanted to repair/replace the side window felt liners. Someone told me that I'm better off waiting for warmer weather because the new inner and outter felt liners won't stick. Is that right?

Re: C1 repair/replacing side window felt liners?
jim: the only window liners i can think of whose installation would be temperature sensitive would be the read window glass vertical liners which are glued to their channels(rear vertical channel of door winbdow glass). the rest of the anti-rattle fuzzies(attach horizontally ) are stapled to door and door panel. Vertical front door glass widow felt that attaches to door post isn't glued in either but rather rivited and clipped. if you are referring to the rear vertical liners that get glued to the channel, simply remove them from both doors, take it all inside to the warmth of the home, and glue in the new liners with 3-m super weatherstrip adhesive. hollar if i'm mis-reading your question. mike- Top

Another tip:
Do not use the rear channel felt sold by the repro houses. The material is too thick. If you use it, godzilla will have a problem rolling up the window.
I cut what I need from a dark cotton tee-shirt and glue it in place.- Top
