    Silicone & DOT3

A few years back I wrote an article about changing to Silcone after running DOT3. The information I had stated that you could just drain/flush the DOT3 with Silicone and it would be fine. I have not had any problems with my brakes. Attatched,I hope, is my first effort of posting a photo. The black at the bottom is sediment after sitting a month after I did a second flush a month after the installation.

and I'm not a member. So maybe you need to set something that lets others view your picture. I mean, I could register and maybe see your picture, but then so would a hundred other people. There must be a setting for making it public.

I hope they can fix their server better than they can spell.

            Re: message from villiage photos:

Yahoo and Geocities did this also. What it means is they have free areas to draw you in, but to really use it, you have to pay.

Don't expect the free servers to be "fixed" any time soon.

              Re: Silicone & DOT3

A number of years ago I switched to silicone the same drain/flush way. The car was driven for a time, then sat for a number of months before it became a project. The brake system was a mess. The fluid looked just like the picture, especially the dark junk at the bottom. The only brake system pieces that were not replaced were small items such as junction blocks. Lesson learned.

Happy New Year and thank you very much for the incredible knowledge that exists in this forum!
