Hi, I am looking for some help or information. I have a 1965 coupe 350hp w/ac. The car had the air removed some time ago and I am slowly getting the parts to put it back in working condition. I recently aquired the outer and inner boxes. On the outer box there appears to be two brackets?? which have been hacksawed off leaving the base. Both are spot welded to the cover of the evaporator. One bracket is above the resistor and to the right. The 2nd is below the resistor and to the right, near one of the evaporator bolt holes.
Most of the photos that I have seen in the REstoration & Tech Guide Vol 2 do not give a clear photo of the evaporator.
Does anyone have an idea 1) what the brackets were used for, POA or Expansion valves? 2) are the brackets specific to a year?
If anyone has digital photos of the evaproator or outer box of a functioning AC, to share, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Dick
