    Heat riser?

The after market repo is diff than the one that is on my manifold. Mine by the way was chemically eaten half way at RediStrip, so my question is does the valve swing down when on the manifold? (The weight) I'm assuming yes because the heat in the coil would then allow it to gradually open(gravity) as the motor heated up. is this right? jc

    chester,

Yes, gravity, opens down. Also, be sure to check 68 AIM pages H193 or H208 for the correct "side" it goes on. Best wishes. Tom #24014

Thanks Tom just making sure, the riser goes on the Passenger side. The new repo sits differently than the old one, yet the old one I have is in two pieces. Manifolds are on, whoops forgot the dipstick tube(natural finish). jc

            chester,

Sorry about the confusion, I meant which side of the MANIFOLD the counter-balance weight goes on. I, for one, have done it wrong before. Tom #24014
