    '67 E-BRAKE HANDLE RELEASE BUTTON

The release button on my e-brake handle keeps coming out, along with the spring. How is this supposed to be retained, and can I repair mine?

If it's like 68's and 69's, the square button is pressed/glued, and/or heat sealed over the release shaft. They're hard to get off. I've taken a few handles apart. As I recall, the release shaft is "gnurled" to aid retention. Try epoxy or superglue. Chuck

I looked in the handle with a light and see the shaft you mentioned. I'll glue it back on with PC7 epoxy, great stuff. Thanks...
