Doing a body off on a '66 conv. and have 4 steel bars bolted to the frame rails below the door sills (2 on each side). Approx 1" x 9" with a single mounting bolt on each. Any ideas????? These dont show on any manuals or catalogues that ive seen In fact the right rear bar is located where the serial no. should be Car is no. 113000 Any thoughts are appreciated Definitely appear original based on rust, bolts etc.

Can you post a picture of it.It may be for a non side exchaust cars rocker panel molding.They are not realley bars but tangs.may be some one installed these bars to support the rocker panel moldings or an old set of the hooker side mounts headers.eather way post a picture,If you dont know how to post a picture email it to me and I will post it -

John Larry thought aftermarket as well I dont see any other mods Car has original rocker panels mounting brackets etc Body has not been cut for sidepipes and the exhaust manifolds are original I'll research your suggestion if possible Mostly i'm just curious Thanks DennisComment
