One of the doors on my 67 coupe has always needed to catch in the door latch when being shut and pulled up slightly into position to fit proper. Once shut, it fits fine. It has always been this way, and after my body off restoration it still is. From those who have tried, is it worth trying to adjust the door or is it more work than it's worth....and.....is the adjustment for this inside the door itself, or at the hinge mounts?

Re: '67 COUPE DOOR FIT
check that the hinge bushing is wore out
open door and lift the door up and down if you feels loose you need bushings
if not
remove door trim panel and I spray paint the back two hinge bolts with a color contrasting your paint color ,like black on a white car.
as once you loosen all six bolt its hard to tell how much it moves and you only need one slight ,say 1/16" adjustment ,with the paint outline of the bolts its easy to judge
decide which one hinge to adjust
1 If the rear door gap is bigger loosen the bottom hinge bolts and adjust door up and tighten
2 If the front gap is bigger loosen the top hinge bolts and adjust door up slightly and tighten
3 then check striker alignment, door should shut smooth and straight
I usually remove the strikers and adjust door for best fit mark the hinges add the strikers and adjust- Top

Yes ,if only the back of the door is low,by adjusting as I described it will o raise it and even the two gaps, front and back,if they are already even, then you may have to adjust both half the amount to keep the gaps you had.
See, if you loosen the top hinge bolts and lift the door and tighten them the door is moved ahead also, fine if top front gap was bigger ,if not its hitting.
and the rear looks big now,If lower rear gap is bigger adjust lower hinge instead.
Thats why I paint the bolts and mark the doors shim count at each hinge after getting the best fit,I can remove the doors and install it first time, every time.
That help any
