    FRENCH LOCKS

How many "ears" on the french locks (exhaust manifolds, half shafts to trailing arm assemblies) were actually bent over during original assembly?

On exhaust manifolds - only 1 ear bent. The two tabs are offset. After proper torque is applied, only the tab that best aligns with the bolt hex is bent.

By the way, if you are having the car judged, please don't use stainless steel french locks.

Also, I've seen more than one 'escape' where factory folks failed to lock the French lock(s) here/there. But, this would be the exception to the rule....
